About
I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in American Studies at the University of Mainz, where I conduct research on “Contemporary African American Life Writing as Cultural Practice” as a fellow of the doctoral college on Life Writing. I also spent some time at Columbia University, New York, as a visiting scholar and taught at the English Department of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
At the English Department of Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz I taught and teach seminars (undergraduate and graduate) on American life writing as well as various undergraduate courses in study skills, essay writing, etc.
